Studio Tintangel sells kits for making seasonal centerpieces and fantasy figures.
All of the designs for these figures are created in our very own studio.
The do-it-yourself kits that are the result come complete with a detailed description and
contain all of the necessary materials to make the figures.
A few other items you might need to put the finishing touch on these creations include:
aquarelle pencils, red wax block for coloring cheeks, and skin-colored sewing threads.
These items are sold separately in the "Creating and Coloring Heads"-kit.
This kit also contains a very detailed description of making the heads that are so
characteristic of the Tintangel designs. This description also includes clear illustrations,
which is particularly ideal for the beginning doll maker.
We uses as many natural materials and components as possible in our kits. The felt,
for example, is from pure wool. Pure wool is also used for the stuffing of the dolls.
The skin-colored jersey, flanel and embroidery floss are all made from pure cotton.
We also use wooden beads, unspun silk for the hair, and real beeswax for the feet or to
weigh the figure down so that it will remain in a standing position.
The designs are intended for decorative purposes, as a centerpiece or for displaying in
a special spot in your home. However, many of our designs are inviting for children to play with.
Due to the presence of unussually small parts which may be swallowed, our designs are absolutely
NOT suitable for children under three years of age.
